Lydia Ortiz speaks in living hand-drawn lettering and black & white with detailed illustrations and meticulous design. Born in Manila, migrated to the States. FOB. Lover of type, watercolor, technical diagrams, ninjas, pen & ink. Worked at Jolibee, a shoe store, art store, bookstore, and a local horror book publisher. Taught art classes for wild children. Currently studies typography and design at CCA in San Francisco. Recently published in American Illustration 27. People who inspire Lydia are all around.
